  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 8 rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cup lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup vermicelli noodles, cooked

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add garlic, chili, soy sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar; stir to combine and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in fresh basil leaves.
  4. Soak rice paper wrappers in warm water until soft.
  5. Place a lettuce leaf on each wrapper, followed by a portion of the beef mixture and some vermicelli noodles.
  6. Roll tightly and serve with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use lean ground turkey instead of beef.
  • You can add more vegetables like carrots or cucumbers for extra crunch.
