Spicy vodka pasta

A delicious and creamy twist on traditional pasta.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in red pepper flakes, then add vodka and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese until smooth.
  6. Mix in the cooked pasta, season with salt, and garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute penne with your chosen pasta.
