- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Allow to activate for about 5 minutes.
- Mix in melted butter, egg, sugar, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and flour. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and spread butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, diced apples, and walnuts.
- Roll the dough tightly, slice into rolls, and place in a baking dish.
- Let rolls rise for another 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow cooling before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a glaze made of powdered sugar and milk on top of the rolls.
