  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until frothy. Gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold in the almond flour mixture and vanilla extract.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls; color one half with red food coloring.
  6. Spoon the batter into piping bags and pipe circles onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then let cool.
  8. For the filling, mix soft butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Sandwich two macaron shells with the filling.
