  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sourdough starter, warm water, sugar, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it is smooth.
  3. Fold in the chopped pistachios and raspberries gently.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, shape the dough into bagels and allow them to rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and bring a pot of water to a boil.
  7. Boil the bagels for 1-2 minutes on each side, then place on a baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow the bagels to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter bagel, you can add more sugar to the dough.
