Pumpkin Spice Crème Brûlée

Indulge in the festive flavors of autumn with this rich and creamy Pumpkin Spice Crème Brûlée.

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice. Heat until warm.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks. Slowly add the warm cream mixture to the yolks while whisking continuously.
  4. Pour the mixture into ramekins and place them in a baking dish filled with water.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set.
  6. Chill the ramekins in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  7. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top and use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use fresh vanilla beans instead of vanilla extract.
  • A blow torch is recommended for best results when caramelizing the sugar.
