Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt

An indulgent twist on a classic patty melt featuring savory mushrooms, creamy Swiss cheese, and crispy turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms and onions until tender.
  3. Form the ground turkey into patties and cook them in the skillet until fully cooked.
  4. Top each patty with a slice of Swiss cheese and cover until melted.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a turkey patty on a slice of bread, followed by mushrooms, turkey bacon, and another slice of bread.
  6. Spread butter on the outside of the sandwiches and grill until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some garlic powder and black pepper to the turkey patties.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
