Korean Vegan BBQ Tofu Skewers: Sweet & Spicy Grilled Goodness

Korean Vegan BBQ Tofu Skewers are a delicious and easy recipe that combines sweet and spicy flavors for an irresistible grilled dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • skewers (soaked if wooden)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, maple syrup, gochujang, garlic, sesame oil, and ginger.
  3. Add the tofu to the marinade and let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated tofu, bell pepper, and onion onto the skewers.
  6. Grill skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until nicely charred.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the tofu marinate overnight.
  • You can use any vegetables you prefer on the skewers.
