- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat, adding the chopped onion and garlic as it cooks.
