Homemade Caramel Simple Syrup (for coffee & more!)

This homemade caramel simple syrup is the perfect addition to your coffee and other beverages!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water.
  2. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then increase the heat and bring to a boil.
  3. Let it boil without stirring until it becomes a deep amber color.
  4. Remove from heat and carefully whisk in the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
  5. Let it cool before transferring to a bottle.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • Great for drizzling over desserts as well!
