- 200 grams Gruyere cheese
- 100 grams Emmental cheese
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh nutmeg to taste
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic clove.
- In a separate pot, heat the white wine and add the grated Gruyere and Emmental cheese slowly, stirring constantly.
- Once the cheese is melted and smooth, mix the lemon juice with the cornstarch and add to the pot, stirring until thickened.
