French Silk Pie Brownies

Delicious and rich French Silk Pie Brownies that combine the creaminess of chocolate mousse with the fudginess of brownies.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in granulated sugar and cocoa powder until combined.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in eggs, one at a time, blending well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Add flour and salt, mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let it cool.
  6. For the filling, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix well.
  7. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Spread the filling over the cooled brownies. Refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
  9. Before serving, melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the top. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure the brownies are completely cool before adding the filling to prevent it from melting.
  • Can be topped with chocolate shavings for extra decoration.
