  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups diced chicken ham
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add olive oil and sauté onions, garlic, carrots, and mushrooms until tender.
  3. Add diced chicken ham and diced crispy bacon back to the pot.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir for a minute.
  5. Pour in red wine and chicken broth, then add thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 30-40 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute chicken ham with regular ham if preferred.
