  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla and mix well.
  5. Add baking soda and salt, then mix.
  6. Add the flour and stir until just combined.
  7. In a separate small bowl, mix cinnamon with a little sugar.
  8. Layer half of the banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, then top with the remaining batter.
  9. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before slicing.
