2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup buttermilk
3 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup icing
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
In another bowl, whisk together the butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan, sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter on top. Swirl the remaining brown sugar mixture on top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool before drizzling with icing.
