  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, celery, and carrots; cook until tender.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until blended.
  4. Add chicken broth and milk; bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened.
  5. Stir in chicken and peas; remove from heat.
  6. Place the pie crust in the pie plate. Pour the filling into the crust and cover with the second pie crust. Seal and cut slits in the top crust.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
