Cherry Amaretto Tiramisu

A delightful take on the traditional tiramisu, infused with cherry and amaretto flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 3/4 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cherries and amaretto. Set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  3. Dip each ladyfinger quickly into the amaretto mixture and layer in a dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Add half of the marinated cherries on top.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and cherries.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute amaretto with cherry juice.
