Caramel Apple Upside-Down Cake

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the caramel by melting butter and brown sugar in a pan.
  3. Add sliced apples and cinnamon, cooking until tender.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into a greased cake pan.
  5. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  6. Add vanilla and stir until combined.
  7. Pour batter over the apples in the pan.
